National Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Announcing Our Donation

Illustration of pink breast cancer awareness ribbon in traditional tattoo style

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout this month, a portion of every sale we make will go directly to the nonprofit organization Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This organization uses its donations to fund better treatment, equipment, and quality of life for those diagnosed with breast cancer. Donations also go to biological research to understand causes and prevention.

Our industry has helped breast cancer survivors with the hard work of talented tattooists and cosmetic artists who specialize in post-mastectomy and areola reconstructive tattooing. In admiration for both artists and breast cancer survivors, we’re looking forward to making our own contribution as well.

If you live in Maryland, where our PainfulPleasures facilities are based, we encourage you to make your own donations to this fund by visiting There, you can also register to participate in the Susan G. Komen Maryland MORE THAN PINK Walk™ on Sunday, October 13.

We thank all our shoppers and community members in advance for every sale we make this month.
